So I attended the Romney rally in Virginia Friday and I'm rather astonished how little this topic has been picked up by, well, anyone. Romney's speech himself was nothing too notable, very short and portraying himself as a centrist. However, the introductory speakers (who got more of a response from the crowd, really) said some...interesting...things. One of the speakers (I believe perhaps Jerry Kilgore or Israel O'Quinn?) condemned not just gay marriage, but homosexuality itself as wrong- mocking those who considered it an "alternative lifestyle" as well as all reproductive rights. This was then followed by a woman who was representative of the Tea Party who ranted of Obama's socialism and concluded the rant by speaking of defeating "Hussein Barack Obama"
I know I have no video or anything, but if anyone could find one, this is certainly worth a look.
It astounds me that the media has failed to pick up on things like this- the failure to notice anything at this rally makes me wonder if perhaps this is a regular thing
