Dear Vice President Biden,
I want to first thank you for standing up for the middle class in the debate with Rep.
Ryan last night. I would like to extend my apologies on behalf of people with true faith that would never stoop to put politics before a personal tragedy in one's life, to try get to get a personal negative response to score political points.
I feel as a Christian, that Paul Ryan sunk to a new low to mention meeting victims of car crashes in the debate. I want you to know that people of real faith know that the loss of your wife and daughter is still as fresh in your mind today as decades ago and you continue to suffer for this loss. I want you to know that you more than likely wanted to lose your temper but you thought of me and my family, and the veteran and senior down the street, putting your feelings aside and putting your love of country and love of God, above any hurtful, calculated plan to toy with your emotions in such an Ungodly fashion.
I wished the moderator had called the congressman out for his ruthless remark but I do so hope the Catholic Church and any other person of faith reminds this congressman that his lack of respect for your family not only reflected poorly on the Romney campaign but on Christianity and folks practicing true faith as a whole.
I am ashamed today as I write this letter to think people are so cold and callous with feelings of loss and grief and actually try to score political points with this type of rhetoric. Governor Romney has displayed the same behavior publicizing and playing politcs regarding the recent death of a Navy seal.
The Golden Rule has been tossed out the window regarding the Romney campaign and
family values seem to not reflect any I have ever witnessed. It is shameless and disgusting and does not reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ.
From the scriptures, "From the Abundance of the Heart, the mouth speaketh". Matthew 12:34...The Holy Bible..
Sincerely,
Amanda Kato
My letter to the Vice President on behalf of people with faith who are ashamed today.
