I'm here to write about Marie Corfield. She is running to fill a state assembly seat here in New Jersey. Her legislative district includes the Princeton, NJ area.
Marie Corfield is an art teacher here in New Jersey. In 2010 she confronted Chris Christie regarding his budget cuts in education. The encounter was made famous when it went on YouTube. In this encounter, Marie had to deal with the rudeness and personality of Governor Christie.
In 2011, Marie ran for the state assembly but lost in a close election. Her opponent, Peter Biondi, died only days after the election. Marie is currently running to fill the seat left open from the death of Biondi. Marie's opponent is Donna Simon. Simon is being supported by the Tea Party. This is another reason to support Marie. Recently Marie's race was highlighted as an "essential" race by the Democratic Legislative Campaign committee. Due to support from people here in New Jersey and elsewhere, Marie's race was the #1 most supported race by the DLCC in the United States!!
