A short Twitter essay:
I mean, here's a guy w/ absolutely no compassion; a guy who made his fortune playing a rigged system that reduces people to chess pieces. This guy pioneers a predatorial style of financial flamethrowing and spends 25 years torching American companies to build up his wealth. The same guys that play this game of private equity help cripple the economy, and PASS THE TAB onto Americans, left bereft of leverage. And then this guy, in a perverse twist, runs for office under the banner of his "business experience"...and half the country BUYS it!
On the other hand, this guy's opponent is a steely-eyed American who believes in actual patriotism, actual sacrifice for greater good. But, you see, this 2nd guy embodies such a visceral, visualized demographic shift–one no one was ready for–that 1/2 of America shuns him. And so it is that we come to the most important election we've ever had, one with dire economic & social consequences, between two guys: Romney, who smugly embodies the worst of the American dream (exploitation), and Obama, who encapsulates the best of it (opportunity). So America, tell me you won't elect Mitt Romney, a man who put personal gain above our future. Choose opportunity. Choose Obama.
