Mitt Romney and Bain buddies, before they sought membership in the victim class (the one that does not pay federal income taxes)

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

  •  I did not like (5+ / 0-)

how my Ex Governor explained how DIFFICULT it was to find a qualified woman
all his staff had said, in response to R's "aren't their any women candidates?" "these are the qualified candidates".

    I did not like
how my exGovernor though he was doing women a favor to "bend the qualifications" so he could get women...affirmative action, as it may.

    I did not like
how he talked about women having to get home for their families

he made it about doing women a favor, possibly looking good...not WANTING women in the job because they might offer a unique perspective or WANTING to have a balance of women and men because that would better represent ALL of the people. NOT that making work hours work for women helps families and communities as well.
    (sigh)
it's hard to put a finger on...his answer was really old fashioned and clueless and I am surprised.
not surprising is that he did not ask for a binder to be created...that binder was presented to him by a bipartisan feminist group that came togeather BEFORE THE ELECTION because they were concerned with the underrepresentation in women in senior government jobs in the Commonwealth. They were going to present the binder to whoever won the election, so Romney received it immediately.
    LIAR LIAR LIAR
OR  he didn't remember so made up something that made him sound decisively pro Woman. OR some staffer made up that they gathered the names when really the binder  languished on some staffers desk until Romney asked?

Anyway I REMEMBER in the news BEFORE the election here in MA that this list of competent women was being created.

    •  Absolutely. Lies, all of it. He knows these lies (0+ / 0-)

can be knocked down, often with video. Compulsive liar. Would that all the MA people that voted for him and Scott have learned something.

My personal computer is limited, can't post without tagging on. Community computer better. Pardon tagging to comments, spelling, please.
