Our President is great, class act all the way. Even when dealing with a trashy bigot like Donald Trump:
Obama joked that his contentious relationship with the business mogul goes back to when they grew up in Kenya together.
"We had constant run-ins on the soccer field," Obama said. "He wasn't very good and resented it. When we finally moved to America I thought it would be over."
Obama Condemns Richard Mourdock's Abortion Remarks: 'Rape Is Rape'
"I don't know how they come up with these ideas," Obama said, according to a pool report. "These various distinctions about rape don't make too much sense to me, don't make any sense to me.
The president also said that the remarks show that decisions on women's health issues shouldn't be left just to men...
The president's campaign denounced the remarks earlier Wednesday, calling the comments "outrageous and demeaning to women."
Update w/ more Obama quotes and video:
On the NBC program, taped for broadcast tonight, Obama said Mourdock’s comments highlighted the importance of the Nov. 6 election, saying the next president may have the chance to appoint one or more Supreme Court justices. The court’s ruling that legalized abortion in the U.S. “is probably hanging in the balance,” Obama said.(video here, hat tip to scribeboy)
Mourdock’s remarks show “exactly why you don’t want a bunch of politicians, mostly male, making decisions about women’s health care decisions,” he said.
