I just received this e-mail this morning from the Paul Sadler for Senate campaign:
This week Paul Sadler has picked up two new endorsements:
The El Paso Times points to Paul's emphasis on border issues and trade relations, as well as his ability to promote important businesses in the region.
http://www.elpasotimes.com/...
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram focuses on Paul's no-nonsense approach to problem-solving and his ability to understand the broad issues affecting our state.

Read those two editorials from El Paso and Fort Worth. Normally GOP territories in a Republican-dominated (though turning blue) state. They DO NOT WANT Ted Cruz as Senator from Texas.
Now, Ted "Crazy Troll" Cruz is the GOP candidate for US Senate from Texas, trying to fill the seat being vacated by Kay Bailey "Sparkle Pony" Hutchison (you ever notice how Texas politicians often can't just rely on their given names?). He is a teabagger extraordinaire, with Koch brothers outside help, genuinely out-there fringy nutso ideas, and is in fact, not liked by the mainline GOP in Texas, much less us Democrats. He has pissed all over Texas AG Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst's statewide (and national?) ambitions for higher offices. However, we will all be subject to Crazy Ted in the U.S. Senate the NEXT SIX YEARS, unless something is done.
I believe the DSCC has done little to nothing to help Paul Sadler against Cruz, and he is in feeble funding territory compared to what Cruz has raised.
I am asking for some last-less-than-two-weeks-till-the-election help for Paul Sadler from Kossacks. As a Texan, I despair of the national Dem. Party asking us for money to help with races in other states (not that they don't matter), but I submit that here's one that DOES matter, and it matters to ALL OF US.
Ted Cruz in the Senate will make John Cornyn look like a piker. You ain't SEEN crazy yet. And frankly, since Ted is ALL about Ted, he will in fact be self-serving, and will NOT even look out for the interests of Texans, much less the country as a whole. This is Ted's mis-directed belief that he could be the first Cuban-American President or Vice-President, or something. Tell me I'm wrong. Actually , I think that since he was born in Canada, he can't be either (constitutionally) , but he DOES aspire I think to a long US Senate career. Can we afford that? Until 2018? I hope not.
Paul Sadler has experience as a state legislator, and understands how to work a budget, introduce legislation, and get things done. He has firm Democratic principles and will support President Obama's second term intiatives. His "bipartisanship" is appealing to Texans, though I admit it hasn't worked well for Obama in the House. We're talking the Senate here.
Ted Cruz will be an obstructionlist, working for the Koch brothers and for Ted.
I will be working the polls on Election Day in my own precinct, and have donated my anticipated pay to Paul's campaign. How about a few bucks his way to defeat Ted "Crazy Troll" Cruz?
