From his twitter feed:
Romney campaign announces Ryan will go to Alabama on Friday. Why?
Good question... one thing I've realized about this race is you can almost learn more from watching where the candidates spend their time than you can from the polls. I am
quite confident that Romney is winning Alabama, so no, I don't think this is about campaigning... but I can't imagine what purpose there would be to spending
any time there with 12 days to go, when polling indicates that 7 or more states are in play.
Anyone have any thoughts about this? Part of me thinks it's a fundraising trip, but given the Romney camp's current COH, it would just about have to be fundraising for other races. It's the most plausible explanation I can come up with... but the optics are terrible. It whispers "we're done."
