You know, when I saw John McCain challenge then-Governor George W. Bush in the 2000 Republican Presidential Primaries, I thought he was a decent guy. Sure, he wasn't liberal or progressive but he seemed to really have a maverick streak, like he actually gave a damn and didn't take crap.
However, clearly McCain has really lost it. I don't understand why he doesn't understand that the reason why he lost the 2008 Presidential election is because he was just NOT inspiring to voters. There was no way McCain or ANY Republicans could win in 2008 because Barack Obama's popularity pretty much outweighed everything McCain tried to do. Obama consistently lead McCain in polls (with the exception of the period during the 2008 Republican National Convention). Seriously, McCain, what were you really thinking when you selected Sarah Palin? Was she REALLY a maverick like you? Did you REALLY need a game changer?
Well, look at what your "presidential" decision did: It made you loose the election even harder.
Yes, we know McCain did this:
And we know he did that:
However, he also did this:
And he has been bold to criticize Colin Powell's decision to support President Obama for re-election:

Sen. John McCain said on Thursday Gen. Colin Powell has “harmed” his “legacy even further” by endorsing President Barack Obama and defending his foreign policy.
“All I can say is: Gen. Powell, you disappoint us,” McCain said Thursday on Fox News Radio’s “Kilmeade and Friends.” “And you have harmed your legacy even further by defending what is clearly been the most feckless foreign policy in my lifetime."
HAHAHAHAHAHA. President Obama's foreign policy is the most feckless foreign policy in your lifetime? Oh boy, you're cracking me up John McCain, you REALLY are.
Here's where the hypocrisy comes:
Meanwhile, McCain also criticized Powell for his presentation to the United Nations in the 2003 run-up to the Iraq War. Powell, serving as George W. Bush’s secretary of State, focused on purported links between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda — information that turned out to be based on a false report. Powell eventually apologized for the presentation earlier this year.
“I think one of the sad aspects of his career is going to the United Nations Security Council and telling them things about Iraq that were absolutely false,” McCain said, though he said he is an “admirer” of Powell’s.
McCain supported the invasion of Iraq.
So Senator McCain: You're criticizing Colin Powell for his presentation at the United Nations in the run-up to the Iraq War but you support the Iraq War anyway? You criticize Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld like crazy during Bush's presidency but you don't hold President Bush himself accountable. Have you no clue why Rumsfeld kept submitting resignation requests to Bush and got denied (until fall of 2006)?
McCain, are you too unwilling to let it out that it's President Bush and Dick Cheney who are responsible for the run-up to the Iraq War? Why do you give Powell the short end of the stick? You always seem to blame the Cabinet Secretaries for the problems but you never blame the President of the United States for hiring these people from the get-go! No wonder Barack Obama got elected in 2008 in the first place!
Cut Colin Powell some slack! And start fighting against your own party! Or loose your own re-election campaign!
