What a great Democrat, a guy who showed his competence in a recent debate against his tea bagger opponent with a hostile moderator.
Forever indebted to him for his work when he was in the TX leg for teacher health insurance. He actually knows how to get things done, and said so in the debate. Bam!
Now this news just in:
The events are coordinated by the national Souls to the Polls movement. Shanna Weisfeld, a spokesperson for the campaign, called it an “African American church outreach day.”
“A lot of African American churches have different candidates and have them speak,” Weisfeld said. “It’s introducing the candidates to the congregation.”
As Sadler speaks to the various congregations, Weisfeld said he will most likely talk about his voting record in the Texas legislature and the importance of bipartisanship in congress.
Weisfeld said the campaign is “very happy to have just received another endorsement from the San Angelo Standard-Times” and plans to remind voters “why all these newspapers think he’s the right candidate.”
So far, the Dallas Morning News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and the San Antonio Express News have endorsed Sadler as well. The Houston Chronicle and five other Texas papers have given their support to Republican candidate Ted Cruz.
