The tricks and tactics of the Republicans are obvious. They have their own biased pollster (Rasmussen) issue polls showing their candidate gaining then they have their own favorite news channel (Fox News) say this is a "game changer."
Rasmussen today calling Ohio a tie is the most recent example.
What I have to ask is why the Democrats don't engage in the same tactics.
Even without dipping into biased polls, why doesn't the Democratic party make huge news about Obama now tied in Virginia and Obama closing in Florida?
Why can one side in a fight have their own biased pollster without the other side having one? If you do not counter with a Democratic Rasmussen pollster you let his polls seem legitimate.
If you have a similarly opposite pollster from the Democrats (e.g. using the exact same enthusiasm gap in opposite, using the exact same turn out model opposite, etc...) then Rasmussen will be worthless.
Without an exact opposite he is given credibility and thus drives the narrative for the Republicans.
Democrats need now to fight fire with fire!
Allowing Rasmussen to call Ohio a tie without rebuttal may cost some votes. Costing some votes may cost Ohio. Losing Ohio may be fatal.
Democrats need to get out there and fight Rasmussen! Put your purity aside. This is a war! You better fight a war in only one way -- TO WIN!!
