It's beginning. There are times in which lies can live on and no one says anything. But there also are times when the media cannot avert their eyes anymore and begin to tell the truth about lies.
And this is where we are now. Mitt Romney's lies about Jeep and GM are a lie too far.
Today, Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne rebutted Romney's deliberate lie about Chrysler and jobs to China.
I feel obliged to unambiguously restate our position: Jeep production will not be moved from the United States to China.

We also are investing to improve and expand our entire U.S. operations, including our Jeep facilities.

we committed that the iconic Wrangler nameplate, currently produced in our Toledo, Ohio plant, will never see full production outside the United States.
Jeep assembly lines will remain in operation in the United States and will constitute the backbone of the brand.
It is inaccurate to suggest anything different.

GM also called out the lies:
GM didn’t take well to the ad either, bristling at the notion that the auto rescue — which the Center for Automotive research estimated saved 1 million US jobs — encouraged outsourcing.
“We’ve clearly entered some parallel universe during these last few days,” GM spokesman Greg Martin told the Detroit Free Press. “No amount of campaign politics at its cynical worst will diminish our record of creating jobs in the U.S. and repatriating profits back to this country.”
Detroit News reporter David Sherpardson reported some more choice words from GM over the ad, quoting a representative who said “At this stage, we’re looking at a Hubble telescope-length distances between campaign ads and reality….GM’s creating jobs in the US and repatriating profits back to this country should be a source of bipartisan pride.”

And now the tradmed is starting to tell the truth about Romney's lie:
The production of Jeep models is expected to be up 185% this year and, if anything, Chrysler has rapidly expanded production at the flagship Jeep plant in Detroit with the addition of second and third shifts since the 2009 Chrysler bailout.
Chrysler does plan to produce Jeeps in China but only for domestic market sales, the maker has said. Indeed, virtually every major automaker now operates production facilities in China – critical to avoid hefty import duties.
The announcement by Chrysler that it would build Chinese Jeeps in that country was incorrectly reported, initially, and despite a later correction in the media, the Romney campaign has continued to run with the inaccurate information.

There has so far been no word from the Romney campaign as to whether they will correct or otherwise stop using the inaccurate information about Chrysler’s plans for Jeep.

It's going to be like a dam breaking. It's one lie too many, a lie too far and it will sink Romney. He was going to lose anyway, but he will start bleeding some more support. He is not going to catch up in Ohio.
WON. Wisconsin, Ohio, and Nevada = 271.
We're going to win!
Romney lies while President Obama governs and tours the disaster with Republican Governor Chrisitie. The optics are great!
