Yesterday, Mitt Romney was asked about a dozen times what his plans were for FEMA and natural disasters. When he chose not to answer, or even acknowledge the questions, many assumed that he simply had no answer at all. As it turns out, this is not the case.
The Romney campaign has finally released their "Five-Step Disaster Plan," which can be found below the fold.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has developed a comprehensive plan to deal with natural disasters in a way that benefits everyone. By everyone, we mean the 52% of the country that counts. Well, okay, the 1% that counts.
The ground-breaking plan goes as such:
Step 1: Use eminent domain to purchase all effected land at "fair" market value.
Step 2: Harvest all salvageable material from the area: scrap metal, vehicles, babies, etc.
Step 3: Use already destroyed area to hide other junk, such as toxic waste.
Step 4: Cover destroyed area with new stuff to make it look worth more than it is.
Step 5: Sell area to China and forget about it.
Romney's Five-Step Disaster Plan is quite brilliant. Not only does it allow the federal government to profit off of disaster, but it also gets all those unsightly, dirty areas off the books so we can concentrate on the 1%.
