DK Quilt Guild: A place for quilters to gather, share ideas, projects, and to make the world a better place, one quilt at a time. Join us and share your thoughts, projects, questions, and tips. Quilters here are at many different levels of skill. Beginners and non-quilters are welcome, too!
The DK Quilt Guild Diaries usually doesn't discuss politics, national events, world events or elections. Life changing events occurred for many Americans this past week, and I would be remiss, if I didn't comment about them. My prayers and thoughts for all who have suffered from Hurricane Sandy. RIP to all those who have perished, and may all their loved ones find Comfort & Peace.
Please consider donating to the Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Feeding America or any other charity to help those in need. The New York Aquarium is underwater and needs financial help. The New York Aquarium is the home of Mitik the walrus. Don't forget our furry friends who may be in animal shelters because of Hurricane Sandy.
It's very important for all of us to vote and to encourage others to do the same. GOTV!

Today's diary will highlight "patriotic" quilts. Most of these are from various quilt shows, I have attended. Please feel free to discuss or show your quilts or projects.
This first quilt was quilted by our own BeadLady.
