About the storm: My 85 year old aunt and uncle live on the Connecticut shore. Decades ago they met shortly after World War 2. My aunt was in college then in the states but was a French citizen and met my uncle at a party. I've heard many stories from her about what it was like living in France during the war...
At any rate, the two of them married a year later and have been married for close to seventy years. Because of the storm, they were relocated to a shelter where they stayed for three days. After their home regained power they left and according to my aunt saw on the road "hundreds and hundreds of trucks." They were from FEMA providing water, food and other supplies to the victims. It reminded my aunt of nothing other than D-Day. She was amazed and proud of what how this government responded to the suffering of its citizens.
Do we need another reason to support the President?
