A good, sweet (but true) story from a friend of mine who teaches in Baltimore City ... It's a middle school in a rough neighborhood.
This pretty tough kid (13 years old) at my school that I work with was in my room Friday at lunch, and he starts talking about Romney. He says, "Isn't Willard a name for a rat?" I laughed, but then it got better. He then says to me, "Mr. B, doesn't Romney remind you of that guy at a party who, after being around him for only a couple of minutes, you think to yourself, "What a dick." I told him, as I should being the teacher, that that was not school-appropriate language. He said, "My bad, Mr. B. But you know it's true!"
Funny how kids pick things up ...
