Paul Ryan must be chatting up Sarah Palin, because he sure is sounding a lot like her:

Paul Ryan squeezed in time on a four-stop, five-state day for a conference call with evangelical voters Sunday evening, issuing a warning about a second Obama term saying the president is putting the country on a “dangerous path” that compromises “Judeo-Christian, western civilization values.”

Speaking to Ralph Reeds 'Faith and Freedom Coalition' Ryan said:

“It’s a dangerous path,” Ryan said on his opening remarks on the call, which has been rescheduled at least once. “It’s a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, western civilization values that made us such a great an exceptional nation in the first place.
Ryan went on with some other nonsense:
“It’s because so many people around this country are praying for us and offering their prayers and coming up and giving us so many mementos that show they really care about this country and that they’re praying for us,” Ryan said.
So yeah...its because so many people are praying for them that... they're praying for them?
“Imagine what he would do if he actually got reelected. It just puts a chill down my spine,” Ryan said.
You mean like end the wars, kill Osama, expand healthcare to more americans, reduce our reliance on foreign oil and even 'halting the rise of the seas'. Yes... I can see how that would send a chill down your spine Mr. Ryan.

Even the troll-infested waters of Yahoo News are not having any of this 'bunch of stuff':

Just more proof from the GOP/Romney tool named Ryan that the GOP wants to force Christianity down America's throat and could care less about other races and what religions they believe. Racists the whole lot of them. Obama for the win!
Patriotism means standing behind your country. Patriotism does not mean standing behind your religion.
Hey Ryan,
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
Yeah, those good old Judeo-Christian values that would make an individual who claims to "believe in America" personally visit powerful CEO's and brief them on how to use fear of job loss as an arm-twisting tool to compel their employees to vote for him. Ethics is nowhere near you Ryan. You shouldn't even imply that you are somehow the messenger for decency.
Mr. Governor, Venture Capitalist Myth Romney, welfare became a moral imperative after you outsourced so many American Jobs.
If God doesn't like Obama, then why didn't McCain win in 2008?
Mr. Ryan, what are you going to do about those Americans who do not updhold Judeo-Christian, western civilization values? There are lots of Americans who are Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs, Agnostics as well as Atheists.
What happened to Separation of church and state? Weren’t the Republicans the party of the constitution? At least thats what those guys down at the Tea party rally dressed in colonial costumes were saying.
I’m more worried that he follows Ayn Rand than the Pope. Perfect example of lyin GOPers blaming the dems for right-wing social destruction. His immoral socio-economic plan, pretending to do charity for a photo-op, and all the other BS is what is hurting the integrity of our society. HE is the one tearing down traditional religious values. Jesus said give to the poor, Ayn Rand said only do charity if it serves one’s self-interest…..shows what his real values are. How dare he accuse Obama of destroying Christian values?

In this context, being the so-called “food stamp president” is much more in line with Christian values than anything the GOP offers!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
