Fair Warning- I am the President of Mount Pleasant, SC Pct. 15.  I have personal charge of 304 active Democrats.  I have given every one of them and hundreds of other people outside my precinct full ACLU voting rights protection information.  We have told every one of them how to protect their voting rights in this election.  Each of them has a phone number for the American Civil Liberties Union and the Justice Department Voting Rights Division as well as the local Democratic Campaigns.  I have been to their homes and seen these pamphlets s tacked up on the family bulletin board. I know they have reviewed this material and discussed it with their relatives.  They have shared it's contents with their friends, co workers and neighbors. Those voters have my numbers and they know where I live.  They trust me and I believe in them.  They are black and white, rich and poor, anglo and latino.

As an aside to anyone who's employer has attempted to tell them how to vote.  You're boss does not own you.  Tell him whatever he wants to hear.  Assure him you will follow his instructions.  Go into that booth and vote for who you want to.  Come out and assure him you did whatever he told you to do, even if you are lying.  People who oppress you are not entitled to your trust or honesty.  Just do what they pay you to do.  If they want to own you, they're too late for that.

If anyone out there is planning to attempt to mess with my Democrats in Mount Pleasant, SC Pct. 15, be advised that you gamble with your freedom, your house and your financial assets if you do.  We will photograph you, we will video record you, we will identify you, we will sue you in Federal court and we will strip you of everything you own.  If President Obama wins you won't need a house or money because they're going to find a place in federal prison for you to spend a very long time.  We are deadly serious.  Take your noise and deceit somewhere else, but be advised I'm not the only lawyer who is ready for you around Charleston.

To all my friends across the country, including particularly the voting rights attorney's in Cleveland, OH I could not join due to a death in my family, please be strong tomorrow.  I was on my way to you in the Charlotte Airport when I got the call that I had to return home to bury my little brother.  I grieve being stuck so far from the center of the battle.  To watch the contest from here, powerless to help is terrifying.  The fate of the republic and the planet is in your hands tomorrow.  Charge your cell phones, camera and video recorders.  Grab some bottled water and stand the 12 hours as if all our lives depended on it.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
