All Ahead Full on the DK Election Day Express!
skittery orange kittens,
color coded for excellence!
Let's face it, there's nothing cats like better than nighttime and something skittery. I'm not sure if they prefer to be alone in their skitteriness or if they like having an audience.
It turns out in my household that a dangerous thing to leave on the countertops is walnuts. Walnuts are terrifically skittery... and somehow catses that know that there are no cats on the countertops in the daytime magically manage to de-levitate walnuts from the countertop down to the nice skittery floor, where the walnuts can be fully explored for their wonderful hollow skittery sounds, late at night.
It is certainly NOT the case that the cats were ever on the countertop. How could you even think such a thing?
The good news, when you have cats, is that you're never worried about strange noises. "Oh," you think, "The cat found something new." And then you turn over and go back to sleep.
This is a test diary, and an open thread. Have at it.
Non-pooties are also welcome.
12:22 AM PT: I think I hear the cats now.
12:22 AM PT: Oh, wait, that's the dog, I think.
12:23 AM PT (Jason Libsch): Instrumentation and cats, i love it
12:23 AM PT: In case it's not obvious, we're practicing updates for liveblogging.
12:23 AM PT: Because, hmm, it seems we might be doing that shortly.
12:24 AM PT: Jason, you should teach your cat to liveblog.
12:24 AM PT: Then, the rest of us could just hang out.
12:24 AM PT: But we'd probably yell, "Toonces! Nooooooo!"
12:27 AM PT: Actually, I think my pony might be the best liveblogger.
12:27 AM PT: But, she has no facility with a keyboard.
12:27 AM PT: Maybe if I give her a pointed stick.
12:37 AM PT: On the other hand, this particular pony is devious. If I give her a pointed stick, I don't think she'll need opposable thumbs to open the gates.
12:37 AM PT: So maybe that's not a good idea.
12:38 AM PT: Guess we'll just have to run the liveblogging ourselves, then.
