House concert series Musical Waves (San Francisco's Lands' End/Cliff House area) presents Stanford University's harpsichordist Elaine Thornburgh offering a delightful solo harpsichord program reflecting back on election season with a potpourri of early English and French repertoire. William Byrd's "The Battell" reflects our journey, including "The Horsemen" and bayonets!. Francois Couperin's "La Misterieuse" offers a taste of musical flip-flopping! Byrd's setting of Dowland's "Pavana Lachrymae" (Flow My Tears) and Couperin's "La Muse Victorieuse" considers our varied responses to this election cycle. Saturday, November 10, 2012, 7:30PM and Sunday, November 11, 2012, 3PM (repeat performance). $20 suggestion donation for performance and reception following.
