It you came here to fight about the legalization of Pot, wrong diary. What you are going to fnd here is my first hand experiences moving into a community struggling to change its image from Party School USA to something respectable, if that is even possible when "Americas Best and Brightest" are sleeping off the effects of the Pot Harvest!
Once you have smelled a Pot harvest, you can never forget it. Nothing smells like it, NOTHING. I can't say "its kinbda like the smell of a freshly shewn wheat field.", well 'cuz it aint, that is sweet, and down-home, and Pot freshly harvested smells nothing like that, it is not sweet smelling, it is not all together pleasant, but it is strong, and it is lingering, and it saturates EVERYTHING! My guess is one of the house one ort two doors down on the right or left is a Pot House and they just harvested. You never forget the smell of a harvest, NEVER. It seeps into the very pours of your brain, and Chico just harvested!
I guess it is a little early, no first frost yet, but if you have $65,000-$75,000 tied up in your ca$h crop, you might harvest a week early and get your shit out on the street and turn green bud into green ca$h, screw purple!
Well that smell is all over Chico. Yeah I moved down here into a War Zone. A war in Drugs and Alcohol, and kids being kids. Chico has changed in the 30 years since I drove up here from Berkley with fields for the Pioneer Days, a week long party, who memory is very faded, like we used to get! It is where I first tried Mushrooms, hated them, with Psychosis I fight not to be in that state! when you have a lifetime of trying to fit in with Mental Illness, sobriety is a blessing and a gift, when Altered seems to be one's natural state. I have never seen the draw. Or maybe being altered I have never gotten to know what it is lioke these wonderful things like drugs.
Too be honest, I am not anti-drug. I think it should be legalized and HEAVILY TAXED! We aren't fulling anyone. With the smell of freshly harvested pot lingering inside and outside my home, I know who is winning the war on drugs. Wink, Wink. We are, right. The first weekend IU was hear, there was a Police shoot out as they closed down the Meth Lab across the street. We all had to stay in our homes ALL Day and Night as a shoot out raged in front of a meth lab! If a stray bullet had hit one of the explosive chemicals in there we all would have "seen the light", aren't cops trained any more, War on Drugs doesn't mean open fire in and around a meth lab! Life BEFORE Liberty, please.
Like 2 layers of quarter inch plywood is really going to stop a stay Police 45, or shrapnel from an exploding meth lab! Legalize it, and Tax it, and stop the fight already, and leave me to my life so I might be able to find some liberty!
