I was just looking at the pre-election predictions from the nattering nabobs of paraphrase a pre-tea party nutjob ( former NIxon VP  Spiro Agnew)....and something just leaped out at me....I don't know if anyone else had a diary about this but here goes....

I am projecting Minnesota to go for Romney in a 321-217 landslide"...George Will
"I am now predicting a 330 vote electoral  landslide for Mitt Romney"...Larry Kudlow
"Electorally it won't even be close... I predict a Romney victory by 100-120 electoral votes".....Wayne Allen Root
"We're going to win by a own view is that Romeny is going to carry 325 electoral votes".......Dick Morris
And ofcourse now, those same people are saying President Obama doesn't have a mandate.....even going so far as to say, the results indicate Americans are against tax cuts for the rich!!!!

The Republcians have more of a problem that just changing about changing reality????

There is a continuing meme that the Republicans could go the way of the Whig party....the sooner the better I say!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

Ha! Here it is from wikipedia:

A Nabob (pronounced neɪbɒb) is an Anglo-Indian term for an East India Company servant who had become wealthy through corrupt trade and other practices.[1][2][3] It also refers to a conspicuously wealthy man who made his fortune in the Orient - especially in the Indian subcontinent.
Someone who has become wealthy through corrupt trade and other practices? Sounds like he was talking about Romney!

A conspicuously wealthy man who made his fortune in the Orient? DEFINITELY Romney!

He's a nattering nabob! And so are the rest of the GOP ruling class!

      Thanks, Spiro.

    •  Actually, Agnew was just spewing words written for (0+ / 0-)

him by Nixon white house speechwriter William Safire.

Safire, Pat Buchanan, and Rev. Fr. John McLaughlin, SJ -- one helluva speechwriting operation, eh?

saying that Romney was going to win in a landslide with 325 EV's.

Yet when Obama wins with 332 EV's that is somehow just an "Obama squeaker."

I wonder if he ever realizes just how ridiculous he sounds.
