War, genocide, murder, rape, pillage, tyranny, thievery; hey, always has happened, I can get over it. But Google releases a new phone and I can't get over it. Here's why:
I too, wanted the new Google phone. I stayed up late, I got up early, I pulled over in my car, trying to get through to Google. At one point, by accident, I had three Nexus 4s in my cart. I didn't care, I just kept pushing "Proceed". I didn't get through.
I wasn't alone. The internets are ablaze with pissed off people. Mostly saying "I wanted a Google phone, I didn't get one. I hate Google, I hate em, I hate em, I hate em". My favorite post called Google "losers". They just sold about a billion dollars worth of phones and they're "losers", you see.
So what really happened here. Did people stand in line for hours, outside in the cold? Were people crushed in stampedes? Did folks pay their hard earned money and not get what they wanted? No, Google sold about a million phones in a couple minutes over the Internet. They sold out.
Outrage. "I didn't get what I wanted and it's Google's fault. They didn't do it right. They're poopy heads. Why didn't they have enough for everybody?" What is this? A preschool birthday party and there wasn't enough cupcakes for all the kids?
Seriously, this bothers me more than Syria. It wasn't just the United States, every country seems to have more than their share of whiny brats. I despair.
