Last weekend, Chrislove wrote the diary ZOMG there are gays in college dorms! NOM's Ruth Institute is on the job... It's an excellent take-down of NOM, this ridiculous video and their bitter agenda. It's well worth a read.

Here's a little nugget from crazyville.

I was visiting with a large state university, and I had a speaking engagement with a Catholic student group there. One of the young ladies in the group told me that she's a resident adviser in her dorm, and the chief resident adviser in her particular dorm happened to be a homosexual man. Last year, he decided that it was a good idea to have, as a social event in their dorm, a drag party. A drag party, presumably, would be where everybody dresses up in clothing of the opposite sex. Well, this young lady that I met--a good Catholic girl--was not eager to participate, and she said, "You know, I really don't think I can be part of this. This is just not something I want to contribute to." And her pressed her pretty hard about why and...was really trying to make her uncomfortable. She felt very strongly that he was trying to get her to either go along with the program or make her feel bad, make her look bad. Finally, what they came up with is that she would need to do her own program, provide her own event...that she would have sole responsibility for putting on for her dormitory of 800 students. So he was pressuring her to participate and he was being punitive with her.
Well the response to the video has been overwhelmingly negative. As of this writing, the video has received 1,635 dislikes and only 51 likes. Further, the filthy comments to the video from the "Gay Left" are out of control and Jennifer Roback Morse is mad.
This innocent little video has enraged the Gay Left. We have been deleting obscene comments and banning people all day. Take a look: you will see a complete disproportion of dislikes to likes. It drives them crazy when we mention anything remotely related to cultural issues. What do you think? Does this video make you want to swear at me? Mercy!
The only problem here, and it's a doozy, is that she is lying her ass off. Jeremy Hooper of Good As You notes that on both the Youtube page and the Ruth Blog posting of this video, the comments are disabled, and, to his recollection, have been since it was posted. I can't verify that, however I can verify that they were disabled when I linked to it from Chrislove's diary last Saturday.

This should come as no surprise. NOM's entire schtick is built on lies designed to bolster outrage and grab a little coin from their frothing supporters. What better way to squeeze out another couple of bucks than to cry that the nasty homos have been saying mean things about her. And we are, just not in comments on her stupid Youtube video.

What a sad, persecuted world these bigots live in.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
