It's good to be king and have your own way
Get a feeling of peace at the end of the day
And when your bulldog barks and your canary sings
You're out there with winners, it's good to be king
~Tom Petty
I hear that it's nice to have a day off. Don't know since I've been out of work for a long time. I guess I'm retired.
Anyway, Bronco Bama gets to kick back today and enjoy some time off on a Sunday, just like we do (sorta).
First a round of golf with the Big Dawg. And then, if that's not amazing enough, tonight he will be hangin' with Led Zeppelin, Buddy Guy, Dustin Hoffman, Natalia Makarova, David Letterman (host) at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors Gala.
I'd like to be a fly on the wall with an HD video camera for this, but can take comfort that it will be broadcast on CBS on December 26 at 9:00 ET.
I don't really want to be a fly, that's a figure of speech, just as "It's Good to be King" is. Of course, Obama is not a king, but if I were king (if just for awhile), this is how I would do it.
Have a good day, Mr. President, you've earned it.
