Hi everyone

I have made a couple of these graphics before and shared them here with varying degrees of being told they are awesome and they suck all in one stream but I am presenting a new one - trying to hone the craft.   I'm working on the attempt at throwing out 'bumper sticker' messages but I am more than aware of my wordiness.   Anyhow, the stark contrast of the progressive position on budget/debt/etc (ie - "fictional  cliff") seems so clear.  Anyhow - throwing this out there if you want to share/use - and - if you have thoughts for me to modify it (especially if you think the stats are inacurate) and make it better if you think it needs massage - I'm all up for that!   So here it is

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

FYI - the bluedog thing is about my dog ... I'm a liberal left winger and proud of it.

  •  But one day I'll be making more than $250K/yr! (5+ / 0-)

Sure, I work 28 hours a week as a driver for Papa John's but as God as my witness I'll be rich someday! SOCIALIZM BAD!!!! FREEEEDUMMMMM!!!!!

How do we get the truth thru the heads of those types? Because I can find you a dozen of them in less then 2 minutes at any local bar or grocery store in the small town I live in.

To me progress is not so much a goal as it is a process and I believe it will not follow a straight course. Remember, the drops of water that form the river may not take the shortest path but they will still reach the ocean.

  •  Still too difficult for conservatives (0+ / 0-)

"What is this $40/ $1000 after $250,000 stuff? Aaargh! too difficult, it makes my head spin!!!"

    Or something like that ^_^

Is there a way to simplify this even further? For example, "...either we get the top richest 4million Americans to pay an extra 0.04 cents for every 1 dollar in profits they get, or for the rest of us to work an extra 2 years to retire on 12,000 a month."

Note the repeated "four" (4 million, 0.04 cents) and "two" (2 years, 12,00). Obviously the numbers are incorrect here.

Note also the juxtaposition between "the top richest" and "the rest of us".

The point is to have a "sig" that has a certain rhythm to it. Can anyone write up a good one, please?
