In case you didn't know, gunbroker.com is the largest on-line site for the selling of guns, ammo and gun related merchandise. Think of it as the ebay for gun. One of the site's administrators posted this in it's forum yesterday:
"Last night was GunBroker's highest single sales day ever and it is looking like tonight will blow it away handily."
He most assuredly sees no irony in his choice of words but I think this is a perfect illustration of how the tragedy is seen by the NRA and it's ilk. It's not a national tragedy but a business opportunity. Pure and simple. Do they even have a soul?
The NRA are probably already printing up their next batch of fund raising letters where they will cry about how the real tragedy is that the black booted thugs from the government will soon be kicking in your door to repossess your semi-auto, high capacity, freedom protecting killing machine. Of course it will just be a reprint of the letter they sent out after the previous shooting tragedy, and the one before that and the one before that.
Wikipedia's definition for Ad nauseam is a Latin term for something unpleasurable that has continued "to [the point of] nausea". That encapsulates my feelings exactly.
