Please don't rec this diary,  just want to say thank you to......I have absolutely no idea who.

Someone has gifted me a Daily Kos subscription and to say I'm choked up is an understatement. Gobsmacked too, I have no idea why they did it, very very grateful, but gobsmacked.

Choked up in a nice way...

Have never been a good writer, I try but all the eloquence that charges around in my head in a dizzy whirlwind never seems to find its way to my keyboard. Many people who contribute here astonish me with their knowledge and their ability to write beautifully.

I've learned so much since I started reading here. To say that DKos and the people here have changed me would be an understatement.

Thank you lovely person for making this Brit feel she belongs here at DKos, worrying with you all, cheering with you all, laughing with you all and rooting for you all to get the sort of healthcare we take for granted in the UK. It's not perfect but we don't get financially ruined trying to pay for it.

I kept doing double takes trying to figure what the heck was going on, went to my profile and saw the gold medallion and still thought "uh"?, then saw that there was an email for me. Even had to read that three times before it sank in.

So, whoever you are gorgeous, wonderful, generous person thank you from the bottom of my heart.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
