On MSNBC today, Governor Ed Rendell urged President Obama to lead, like Lincoln, by delivering chained CPI and an increase in the eligibility age for Medicare and Medicaid.
It's over, folks. We've lost the war on Social Security and Medicare. Ed Rendell, the former DNC chair, former Democratic Governor, current co-chair of "Fix the Debt", and ubiquitous spokesman for the President and the Democratic Party, has just insisted that we cut SS & Medicare, and implied that anything less would be a failure to lead on the part of the President. Anyone think that Republicans will settle for anything less? Anyone think that President Obama and Governor Rendell are not on the exact same page?
