We've all heard that aig is pondering a suit against the usa for the vicious bailout they endured. If you read deep into the NY times article, around about the 20th paragraph,David Boies is involved. Basically, Maurice Greenberg is an AIG shareholder. (He was their chief exec, but left on bad terms in 2005 over some disagreements on accounting.) He's suing the feds, and is asking AIG to join him in his suit. (The suit was dismissed in NY fed court, but the fed court in DC is awaiting AIG's to join Greenberg or pass). AIG is resposible to its shareholders & might get sued by same if they don't consider fighting the feds.
But David F@#king Boies? From Gore v Bush & Prop 8 to Greenberg?
