Imagine for a moment you are a typical wingnut conservative.

I'll pause for a moment while you bang your head on the wall long enough to remove 30-40 IQ points.

Not too long now, you still want to be able to read.

Imagine for a moment that there was a Mosque in every town in America. Imagine that Mullahs and Ayatollahs were frequently appearing before senate committees, invited by Democrats, to provide guidance for the repeal and/or crafting of laws.

Imagine that 100s of Mullahs and Ayatollahs were involved in the sexual and physical abuse of tens of thousands of children, and that they had routinely, as an institution, acted as accessories before/after the fact and had routinely obstructed justice by refusing to report abusers. Imagine that when they were caught, Muslim apologists belonging to Muslim fraternal orders blamed the victims for their abuse.

Imagine that thousands of women had been kept as literal slaves at Mosques, as recently as 1996.

Imagine that six of the nine Supreme Court justices were Muslim.

Imagine that monstrous sums of money were being spent to influence elections and push for laws espousing the most extreme Muslim doctrine.

Imagine the howls from the Right for treason charges, sedition trials, the calls for the impeachment of judges and politicians who were willing partners in this conspiracy.

Now someone explain to me why the Catholic Church is not viewed for what it is: A foreign power trying to subvert the United States Government.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
