Teacher's Comments from Mrs. Marley:
My Students: Simple machines were used to build the Egyptian pyramids; my students need these simple machine model sets to build their own pyramid of learning. Please help my students connect to a future where they can envision themselves as engineers, machine designers, inventors, and architects.
These eager young students look forward to closing their textbooks and using their hands to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Many of their parents do not have the resources available to purchase educational kits. Our school is a Title 1 school in a rural area of Alabama. Almost 63% of our students are on free or reduced lunches; please help feed their growing minds.
My Project: These nine simple machine model sets can change a student's future outlook on life. These eight year olds will be able to envision themselves as scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians. They will design and create working models of gears, levers, pulleys, inclined planes, screws, and wheeled vehicles.
Your donation can make a world of difference in a young person's life. Instead of simply learning in a two-dimensional format, they will use their own hands and young minds to create three-dimensional models. They will be actively engaged in learning rather than taking a passive role in their own education.
COMPLETED! Thank you.
Donations of ANY size DID make a BIG difference!
