To the anonymous benefactor that gave a gift subscription last night – thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I am humbled by the generosity we always see here and I wasn’t expecting this at all. There are many more deserving people (at least better writers that publish wonderful diaries), so this is completely unexpected but wonderful in ways I that I can barely express.

When I checked my e-mail this morning at 7 AM and discovered I have been given a gift subscription to Daily KOS I got alert and a big smile came onto my face.  You see I am doing pretty well in general, but the daily grind has been dragging me down lately and keeping up with my work has been very hard – last night I was not well in the mind department and couldn’t sleep.

The fact that people here are so generous doesn't surprise me at all and I am always happy to see the heartfelt thanks expressed by others that have recieved a gift subscription, but I never ever expected to be the recipient of such a kind and generous gift.

This site is not always easy and the occasional pie fight can certainly be unpleasant,  but make no mistake – the generosity of our members is real and sincere.  Thank you, Kossacks, for being the online community where I belong.   My first thoughts were “who, how can it be so, why me?” but very quickly I realized that I am just very, very grateful.  I mean, someone that I respect on this community values me and my comments (it certainly is not my diaries, I know that!) - how amazing is that? It surely boosts my self esteem.

As I dragged myself to my 9 AM meeting I was still tired, but happy and smiling.

Thank you, whoever you are.  Thank you for the gift.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
