I'm sure we can all agree that, sadly, intelligence, facts, data, and analysis do not generally carry the day in national politics. Amidst the cacophony of digital diatribes and broadcast lies, we at PAC+ aim to provide an oasis of reliable information that can help all of us advance sound social change in America.
I am excited to share with you today the inaugural edition of a new, weekly, PAC+ production -- "Political Intelligence" Each week, a member of our team of lovable data geeks will sift through the mountains of information out there and sort the wheat from the chaff so you don't have to. This week, PAC+ Senior Advisor Kirk Clay takes on the question of whether the Democrats can take back the House of Representatives in 2014 (spoiler alert, the answer is "yes"). Kirk's analysis goes beyond the traditional data metrics to add an overlay of the country's changing demographics. In so doing, he identifies 17 seats that the Dems can pick up by increasing the turnout of voters of color.
We hope you enjoy Kirk's column, and we look forward to sharing this kind of information and analysis with you on a regular basis. And, by all means, please feel free to share Political Intelligence with your friends, family, and colleagues.
