I just started working at a major pork producer in North Carolina and i ve never had a job like this!! I'm not afraid of hard work and it is very hard but what galls me is the the way the factory management treats the workers .Every rule seems to be geared towards "these workers are lazy and stupid and we need to force them in to doing the right thing with out unflinching compromise or they will destroy this company mindset." Working as a meat cutter on the assembly line is not for the faint of heart but the pay is ok at 10/hr with health care and i do love meeting all the different people...the work force is made up of mostly Hispanics with a nice percentage of Haitians and they all work their asses off with out complaint and it is so nice to watch and work with them, it reminds me it was these  same folks that came here on ships centuries ago that made our nation a great nation!! I just wish I had the skills to help organize these folks but i am a no body .If anyone has suggestions as to  how to get a union started im all ears!!!!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
