Former George W. Bush administration cabinet official and now CBS News contributor Condoleezza Rice appeared on CBS This Morning today to share her “expertise” with viewers on the White House’s handling of the terrorist attack in Boston.
In addition, the media has recently been congratulating Ms. Rice for being among the first females to be admitted as members of the Augusta National Golf Club.
But I suspect that most Kossacks have always known what a recent independent review confirms--that Condoleezza Rice is a war criminal:
A nonpartisan, independent review of interrogation and detention programs in the years after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks concludes that “it is indisputable that the United States engaged in the practice of torture” and that the nation’s highest officials bore ultimate responsibility for it.
I don’t care how detemined the traditional media is to project respectability onto Ms. Rice, how calmly, politely, and reasonably she projects herself when speaking (even when lying or spewing nonsense), how well she plays the piano, or how good it is to see a woman wearing the green jacket of Augusta National. In fact, Condoleezza Rice should be wearing prison stripes. I'm not being facetious; she belongs in The Hague.
Any traditional news outlet that wants to be considered respectable needs to take this woman off of my television screen (I’m talking to you CBS), unless its purpose is to show her doing a perp walk with her partners in crime, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the like.
