Of begging for scraps from the table of the Congressional establishment.
I'm sick and tired of being told how silly Republicans were today.
I'm sick and tired of being asked to sign your petition.
I'm sick and tired of people bitching and moaning.
I'm sick and tired of people clicking links.
I'm sick and tired.
I'm sick and tired of pretending that Congress will do something without Democrats controlling the House and the Senate, of pretending that legislation passed on one side will be passed on the other.
I'm sick and tired of my human pride being insulted by acting as if petitions equates to being politically active or as if leaving comments demonstrates my progressive stance.
I'm sick and tired of being told that we have to tweet and retweet and Facebook but leave out the part where you take physical action.
Because I'm sick and tired of looking at the smug face of the establishment. I may not be able to hit you in the face, but I'm damn well capable of hitting you in the pocketbook.
I'm damn well capable of telling people not to vote for you. I'm damn well capable of telling people not to patron you. I'm damn well capable of telling people not to buy from you.
I'm damn well capable of understanding I won't win every battle, but I have to keep fighting if I want to win the war. I'm damn well capable that for some people the difference between 25 hours and 30 is devastating. I'm damn well capable of understanding the dollars I spend are propping up your executive pocketbooks while fleecing your employees. And I'm damn well capable of understanding you're treating them like slaves.
I'm tired, sick and tired, and I just won't take it. I won't sign your petitions, I won't follow your links. I won't chortle at the 'dumb' opposition.
I will stand with you outside the stores and the theaters and the restaurants, I will stand with you and hand out fliers, I will stand with you outside the offices of senators, I will stand with you and talk to others about who they should vote for, I will stand with you and tell others why not to stop at this store instead of that other.
I'm sick and tired of sitting and clicking because I'd rather be standing and doing.
