This won't be a long diary because I'll be in and out of classes all day, but the Storm Prediction Center has just issued a tornado watch with the enhance wording "PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION due to the possibility for violent, long-track tornadoes, damaging wind gusts in excess of 80 MPH, and hail larger than golf balls.

...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SEVERAL INTENSE TORNADOES LIKELY
     SEVERAL SIGNIFICANT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 80 MPH POSSIBLE
     A FEW VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

This is an event that's going to happen fast and early. The storms are already on the edge of the watch area and they're moving in now. If you live in the area or know anybody who does, please make phone calls, texts, emails, Facebook, Twitter, and whatever other posts you can to spread the word like wildfire that a dangerous severe weather situation is about to play out in and around Indiana.

Indiana will likely sustain the brunt of the damage from today's severe weather, but a moderate risk for severe weather exists over the area shaded in red. Significant tornadoes, very large hail, and damaging winds in excess of 70 MPH are possible anywhere in and around the areas shaded in red.

Please pay very close attention to the Storm Prediction Center for updates throughout the day.

Green denotes a risk for non-severe, general thunderstorms.
Yellow denotes a slight risk for severe weather.
Red denotes a moderate risk for severe weather.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
