Arizona can kiss my ass. They got their stupid fines paid - but do not EVER go to the DMV and register your car without getting a receipt showing you showed proof of insurance when you registered your car - because the DMV person might not complete the file correctly and they will suspend your registration and fine you for it because they can.
But there are updates on the long way home under the dooblydoo if you're interested.
So. Arizona can still kiss my ass. They are paid, now I have to wait the 24 - 48 hours until their system updates so I can pay the separate reinstatement fee and that will be done. Oregon ticket is also paid, just need to pay their reinstatement fee and I can get a license and will be able to drive again. YAY!
On the plus side, Col CatLady has realised Arizona is really that messed up - and it's not me.
SSA scheduled two appointments on the same day - one for the shrink and one for a full medical exam - so I have to move the medical exam because I already RSVP'd on the shrink one - and they didn't leave enough of a time window between the two to make it possible. That's on the agenda tomorrow.
I sold my first bead tonight to someone in Canada, so a trip to the post office is in order! I also made a bracelet for myself that better shows off the beads and have taken pictures and uploaded them to my etsy store - it really makes a difference seeing them strung and worn.
I have a book coming on sculpting - I checked it out from the local library and it was so impressive Mum bought me a copy. The beads are about to take a quantum leap forward - and I have some ideas for other projects now as well. I also have a ton of new clay colours and some nice glass spacer beads to work with - Michael's was having a sale and I stocked up. So I have another bake to do in a couple of days as well.
The parents are going to Col CatLady's 50th high school reunion this coming weekend, so it's just me and the cats for a couple days - I'm looking forward to that as well.
With the doctor appointments I won't be leaving until May - but I'm leaving. I'm getting really excited about going home. The boat will have to be cleaned and reorganised, but I'm looking forward to it rather than dreading it. It looks like the plan is to pick up my sailing partner in Arizona and we will see how we manage together on the boat before leaving - if we can't stand each other at the docks we sure as hell can't sail the world together - better to know now.
So while there is still FOX spews and shouting in general - less of it is being directed at me - and I'm very glad about that. I don't know how all the SSA things will turn out, but I know that calling Senator Merkley's office helped get it moving - it was sitting in a pile on someone's desk in Baton Rouge and now it's appointment this and appointment that - it was well worth it to contact his office.
So that's what's going down in the swamp - and I'm glad for it.
