For the last thirteen years, an international team of researchers have been searching out any indication that one of the world's most majestic animals, the Formosan clouded leopard, was still in existence its native forests of Taiwan. But now that countless in-the-field observation hours and thousands of infred cameras have turned up no sign of the rare species, scientists have arrived to a somber conclusion: clouded leopards there are extinct, and have likely been for decades.
The lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan, which seeks unspecified damages, alleges Samuel Pinkus failed to properly protect the copyright of the book after his father-in-law, Eugene Winick — who had represented Lee as a literary agent — became ill a decade ago, according to an Associated Press story. In the lawsuit, Lee, who is 87 and lives in Monroeville, Ala., says Pinkus took advantage of her failing health to get her to assign the book’s copyright to him and a company he controlled. In words that hark back to a courtly code, the lawsuit says: “The transfer of ownership of an author’s copyright to her agent is incompatible with her agent’s duty of loyalty; it is a gross example of self-dealing.” Pinkus has so far not commented.

The CNN Belief Blog ran a report entitled "When Christians become a 'hated minority'" that gave a platform for falsehoods spread by anti-gay activists, including Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council, while claiming the false identity of victim. [...] When citing Peter Sprigg as a source, the media needs to keep in mind the outrageous statements that he makes against the LGBT community. He is not simply one who wishes to protect LGBT people from harm, as he claimed in the story. If you look at his past comments on GLAAD's Commentator Accountability Project, you can see that he wishes to actively punish, imprison, and deport LGBT people.

New research from the University of Reading shows that Ice Age people living in Europe 15,000 years ago might have used forms of some common words including I, you, we, man and bark, that in some cases could still be recognized today.
Ferguson has had a terrible last 10 years. He was a strong proponent of invading Iraq and pines for us to stay indefinitely in Afghanistan. He was a Romney supporter who wrote an anti-Obama screed in Newsweek that demonstrated his contempt for facts. He was an advisor to Senator McCain’s campaign for the presidency. Because of his record of getting every important policy issue wrong he was paid a great deal of money to speak to an “alternative investment” conference that began, with no small irony, on May Day. Ferguson was presenting his thesis that the West has become “degenerate.” He certainly proved that point about himself.
