I don't know what is true regarding what happened in Benghazi. One thing I do know is prior to the WH releasing their emails, a whole lot of Republicans were claiming that the WH and the State Department were covering something up.
For eight months Republicans have been suggesting and accusing the WH and the State Department of something sinister.
Accusations escalate, e-mails get forged and ABC is conned into publishing false information that makes the Republican accusations appear legitimate and makes the WH and State dept. appear to be lying.
The WH is forced to release the real Emails that corroborate their story. They also publicize the fact that these same e-mails were released to congressional committee members of both parties months ago.
Now here's the problem. Both the WH and the State department accepted blame for what happened, yet Republicans continued with their accusations up until a few days ago.
After the e-mails were released Republicans stop their accusations and they begin cautioning their party against making false accusations about the President. They don't apologize or reprimand anyone in their party but they suddenly stop making accusations and warn their party to be careful about accusations.
If they believed the WH was lying about Benghazi, why wouldn't they believe the WH is lying about these e-mails?
The only answer is that they know the WH wasn't lying and isn't lying. But why is this important all of a sudden?
It's important because Republicans started talking about impeaching the President if he was lying about Benghazi.
If the President can be impeached if caught lying what happens to a Congressperson caught doing the same thing?
Isn't it interesting how Republicans are suddenly being warned not to talk about impeachment without evidence? Republicans suddenly doing an about face on impeaching Obama is not only newsworthy but worthy of investigative reporting. What has made them so frightened all of a sudden?
