Congress is investigating the IRS. Who is investigating Congress?
Apple dodges taxes in the billions of dollars. Exploiting the intentionally arcane tax laws, Apple hides money all over the world, paying little or no taxes in the United States - or anywhere else, for that matter. Shades of Mitt Romney, times 1000.
This is no accident. Congress, the best that money can buy, has created a system that allows the biggest and richest people, and their organizations (funds, corporations, foundations, etc. etc.) to avoid paying their fair share of taxes, while the rest of us make up the difference from our comparatively puny wages, salaries, savings and tiny investments. If the IRS was a bit overzealous in its duty to insure that every crackpot, secret political money organization doesn't get tax exempt status, more power to them.
Are so many Americans so stupid, or brainwashed, that they are actually incensed over bureaucratic ham-handedness in the interpretation of official duties, while accepting of the terrible fiscal injustice inherit in the tax code? If so, we deserve to be fleeced by the rich and richer.
Baaaa!
