States which have decided not to expand Medicaid will leave behind the poorest of the poor. In fact, delaying implementation of Medicaid expansion will result in substantial losses of funds for these states.
What, other than cynical politics, might accont for this situation? (The question is rhetorical.)
In the dark-hearted center of Republicanism, the destruction of President Obama, or at least his legacy, seems to be the central theme. In the idealogical wars, the Republicans have demonstrated their willingness to sacrifice the least and weakest of us on the altar of, what? Power? Wealth? Whom do they actually represent? Who benefits from this callousness? Someone is getting some "good" from this particular source of misery. The questions (not rhetorical) are Who, and What?
In the war of idealogy, for the Republicans, "they also serve who sit and starve."
