Is it Tuesday?
I need to write poetry?
Okay.
Just had my nightly red beer:
bigjac red beer:
in Ball wide mouth quart jar,
add tomato juice, or V8 juice,
up to halfway between the words
"wide mouth"
and the word
"Ball"
add one teaspoon iodized sea salt,
four sloppy overflowing teaspoons of
Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce,
four sloppy teaspoons of lemon juice,
one fourth teaspoon of any extra hot sauce,
and one very sloppy, dripping spoonful of molasses.
Stir.
Add one cheap beer,
any brand;
non-alcohol beer will do.
Stir again.
Enjoy.

I dug up more backyard dandelions and grass,
and planted more vegetable seeds,
tomatoes,
cucumbers,
(cucumbers are fun;
the fruit is often hiding under big leaves,
making it a treasure hunt to gather them in)
turnip greens,
(to cook in bacon fat)
and green onions.
Still need to plant
onion bulbs,
80 of them,
and watermelon seeds,
and strawberry plants.
We already planted eight foot rows of
cabbage
(the bugs are already eating the cabbage,
even though they are only sprouts!)
green beans,
yellow wax beans
(the beans are big,
five inches tall;
planted last week)
and carrots.
We're watering our garden with grey water;
we use Ecos laundry soap,
grey water safe,
and we route the water from the washing machine,
by way of a long garden hose taped to the drain hose,
way out to the garden.
We catch the water in five gallon buckets,
and dipper and pour it
onto the garden.
We just bought a new window unit air conditioner,
and we installed it in me and my wife's room.
So,
me and Tonia have the new air conditioner,
and we gave the old one to her brothers
who live upstairs.
Her brother, Terrell,
will install it soon,
in a window at the top of the stairs.
Since cold air goes down,
I hope that little and old window unit
will cool Isaac,
who sleeps next to the top of the stairs,
Terrell,
who has a bedroom two steps down,
with his doorway near the top of the stairs,
and maybe even Michael,
who occupies the master bedroom downstairs,
and Uncle Randall,
who lives in the converted garage,
next to Tonia and I.
The house has a big central unit,
that takes a lot of juice to run,
and it doesn't cool the whole house.
Tonia and I have taken over the duty
of paying the bills here,
with her brothers and uncle paying us some money
each month or each week.
So we have a motive,
for using less juice.
And,
I already hang our clothes on the clothesline out back,
saving money that we don't have to spend
supplying an electric dryer with power.
And,
to leave a pleasant taste in your mouth,
as you leave this diary,
here's my recipe for dessert:
bigjac's peanut butter no-bakes:
In a large saucepan,
on low heat,
put two sticks of real butter,
and a whole jar of peanut butter,
a 40 ounce jar.
As soon as that mixture is melted,
remove from heat,
and add about a half cup of brown sugar,
stir to melt and dissolve the sugar.
Add about three cups of quick oats oatmeal;
stir thoroughly.
Rinse out the Ball wide mouth quart jar,
from the bigjac red beer,
and pour it almost full of cold milk.
One bite of dessert,
four gulps of cold milk.
Thanks for reading.
