I just got an email informing me of the passing of Annette Mont. Annette was well known Liberal here in Brooklyn NY who counted among her friends Senator Bernie Sanders (who she attended high school with) and many Brooklyn and NYC Politicians who are too numerous for me to list. I remember how she ordered Obama buttons and other Obama items
Along with her good friend, Estelle Glasser, Annette started and ran the first DFNYC Link Up here in Brooklyn. Until illness prevented her participation, we met at her lovely, historic home in the Midwood section of Brooklyn the 1st Wednesday of the month. Always involved in politics, the community and NYC Annette is survived by her loving family, husband Stu, her children and grandchildren and many, many friends.
Annette's love of her family and friends, her home which was given historic status many years ago, electing liberals, traveling (one of her last trips was a European River Cruise), theatre, art and education.
I've having a difficult time with this news. We all knew how sick Annette was and that it was terminal. I recently sent her an email which she normally would reply to in about 24 hours but when I didn't hear from her I contacted another friend who told me she wasn't doing good. Services will be held Friday and only for family and close friends. If you knew Annette you can make a donation in her memory as follows:
