Received this e-mail today from the Ragin' Cajun himself in support of Iraqg War Veteran Kevin Strouse's (D. PA-08) campaign to unseat Tea Party Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (R. PA-08):
What’s that song... you ain’t seen nothing yet? I sorta feel that way every time I get to talking about the 2014 elections.
Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers want to do anything they can to protect and expand the GOP majority in the House.
That’s where you come in. My friend Kevin Strouse needs your help before Sunday’s Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline to build a strong grassroots campaign.
Sunday is the day. It’s the biggest Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline yet for Kevin Strouse. Are you in? Give now to help him out:

We fought back and won against their onslaught of outside money last time, and well, quite frankly, they ain’t seen nothing yet.
Please contribute $3 or more before Sunday’s big FEC deadline to help Kevin have a big showing:

Many thanks,
James

Strouse has been endorsed by the group VoteVets:

Kevin Strouse continued in the footsteps of former Congressman Patrick Murphy Monday when he earned the backing of VoteVets, a progressive DC-based PAC.
“Kevin has military service and patriotism in his blood; he comes from a long line of men who served this nation,” said Jon Soltz, the group’s chairman.
“Kevin knows what it takes to keep America safe, but more importantly, has the proven commitment to keep the people of his Pennsylvania district well-represented in Congress. People who want a tireless fighter and dogged advocate in Congress who truly represents their needs can’t do any better than Kevin,” Soltz continued.
One of Strouse’s strongest backers is former Congressman and fellow Iraq War veteran Patrick Murphy, who maintains very close ties to VoteVets. The organization’s website calls Murphy a “VoteVets adviser”.
Strouse served in both the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and was even part of the famous rescue operation of Jessica Lynch. After leaving the service, Strouse spent six years working for the CIA Counterrorism Center. - Politics PA, 6/10/13
Hopefully next year will be the second time a brave soldier defeat a Tea party, GOP rubber stamper. This is a race to watch.
