What a night. What a wonderful, wonderful night. The only thing better would have been to be there live and in person. I think for most of us watching, and most everyone there, the pivotal moment came when Sen. Leticia Van De Putte asked,
"At what point must a female senator raise her hand or her voice to be recognized over her male colleagues?”
The reaction started as applause, then built up into an incredible roar that lasted over 10 minutes. For me, it was one of the most exciting moments in politics, thus far this year, and we've had our share. It was the voice of democracy, heard around the world. So grateful for Senator Wendy Davis, Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood, and all the incredible women's rights organizations made up of men, as well as women, who fought the good fight - and won. Well done, America.
