According to Politico's front page story, the WH disagreed with the Corker ammenment and removing benefits for students and immigrants in queue to being naturalized. Apparently, the WH felt going for 70 votes wasn't worth the concessions Republicans would demand. I'm sending this from my phone so don't have time to post the link but its the top story.
Now I gotta say, as a critic of Obama's negotiating style I'm happy, and surprised, that of all the parties negotiating, they were the ones representing my opinion, which is simple: Don't follow Schumer on the concession train before it stops at Crazy Mountain A.K.A the House of Representatives.
