Are you aware of the Koch brothers "fight the lies" website  They are aware of DailyKos.

What is

This site is a repository for media responses and factual information presented by Koch Industries, Inc.
You can "Follow" Koch Industries on twitter to find the latest in KochFacts rebuttals:

Koch Industries @Koch_Industries

Right now @Koch_Industries is rebutting the twitterati's numerous allegations that Koch Brothers funded or helped to fund George Zimmerman's defense.  Whoever's job it is, this twitter allegation defense began on July 2 and seems to be taking quite a bit of time today.

It is worthy of noting that KochFacts relies, in part, on "unbiased" journalistic notables like Breitbart as front page purveyors of KochFacts to relay rebuttals to what the Koch Brothers consider lies about them. I guess we are all supposed to forget the other facts, like twice convicted James O'Keefe, a paid Andrew Breitbart operative.  Very laughable.

And what does Koch Industries have to say about DailyKos?

Why is Daily Kos so afraid of some speech competition from the Koch Brothers?

The Daily Kos is reacting very hysterically to the mere possibility that the Koch Brothers might buy 8 Tribune Co. newspapers, including the L.A. Times.

Really, what is Kos so afraid of?

Isn’t having NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, Huffington Post / AOL, Yahoo, Google, The NY Times, The Washington Post, Hollywood, the music industry, almost all of Higher Ed, Silicon Valley, and almost every major media outlet on your side enough?

Kos isn’t trying to protect journalism, it’s trying to protect a near monopoly on traditional media outlets.

The Murdock media group and talk radio are all that stand in the way of total domination.

A near monopoly on the media?  You.Have.Got.To.Be.Kidding.Me

"The Liberal Media" don't we just wish!

Actually, links this article to a blog by William A Jacobson called Legal Insurrection.

Jacobson has also launched College Insurrection recently.  I would guess this is to gear up for the 2016 election.

As we all know the Kochs fund the Tea Party and the Tea Party loves Legal Insurrection.  I believe the Kochs also fund Libertarianism.

For example, perhaps you might enjoy reading

Perspectives on Economic Freedom — By Charles G. Koch

You will find the standard Tea Party and Libertarian dog whistles throughout

Oddly, KochFacts didn't try to rebut my widespread article:

Exposé - 80 Years of Planning: The Kochs + The Family + Birchers = TEA PARTY Disinformation Machine

Waaambulance.  The Kochs need a blog to rebut all the "lies" about them.  Sucks to be so popular.

Thought you might enjoy news.  I want to thank FireDogLake for bringing this to my attention.  Here's their article link

Koch Brothers Target Critics With Website

This effort parallels the Koch Brothers’ other plan to silence critics – buying them out.

The Koch Brothers may soon have a fully integrated system – politicians, policy planners, protesters and the press.

Who would dare stand against such a war machine?  Who could?

The Kochs are proving once again that America is the best democracy money can buy.

Wow.  Thanks for the RECs.  I will have to check to see if I ruffled any coal dust.

For those with both the time and hardy constitution, click here to see if a new rebuttal shows up.  July 3, 2013 is the latest article.

I am very grateful that the Koch brothers are providing this window into their hearts and minds.

You see, David and Charles, we know how you work.  We know how you and your $Billionaire cohorts are funding ALEC.  We know you enjoy the power inherent with being able to fund, essentially, a take over of State governments via ALEC.  And I think we sense you would like to do the same with the federal government, if you haven't already.

There is an army of people tracking your behind-the-scenes political activities.  DailyKos is just one of a hoard of honest groups of people fighting to retain what is left of our democracy.

If the following charts are correct, we know your money flows through a long list of organizations whose purposes seem to conflict with what many of us deem basic human rights, like public education, access to affordable health care, a fair tax system, living wages, clean air and water, safe food, and a true democratic process free from corruption.

Here are some Muckety Map charts that reveal, in small part, how your money is being spent.  Double click to see larger, legible chart versions:

We know you are a major funder ALEC, now infamous for writing many cookie cutter laws that GOP-run states seem to rubber stamp for you.

We know the names nine of the corporations that helped create ALEC, and which many of us have sworn to boycott, including your products:

ALEC - 10 Corporate Donors
We know that Paul M. Weyrich helped co-found ALEC, the Heritage Foundation, the Free Congress Foundation, and is the Director of the Council for National Policy, a meeting place for some very right wing operatives.

Paul M Weyrich Team

We know that Richard H Fink is one of your key men.  Specifically, if this chart is correct, the Chairman and CEO of the Charles G Koch Charitable Foundation and Koch Companies Public Sector.  Mr. Fink was also a Co-founder and Director of Americans for Prosperity.  He is even a Director of your parents Foundation and many of your other funnels for your funds.

Who is Richard H Fink? Koch Brothers

We know that you fund both Donors Trust and Donors Capital Fund, which are affiliated.

Less known is another group doing the same or similar work as ALEC, The State Policy Network where you and some of your other $Billionaire friends funnel funds through the Goldwater Institute:

Goldwater Institute

We know that the Tea Party was a far cry from "grass roots" and that funding from you and others made the Tea Party possible:

Kochs Waltons

We also know that, through your Citizens for a Sound Economy Foundation, you fund Freedom Works, which in turn helps to fund Glenn Beck, etc.

Richard J Stephenson

I wasn't surprised to learn that you are also funding State Judicial Elections.

State Judicial Elections

And there is ample evidence you are part of the $Billionaire Boys Club trying to dismantle public education.

Honestly, we could examine the ways and means your money is being used to influence politics and policy forever.

What I can't understand is how the IRS keeps up with the volume and complexities of your money machine.

So, keep up the good work over there at and we will keep up the good work of keeping people informed of what is happening behind the curtain.

Tagging tips - Search For Tags - Browse For Tags

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary from your hotlist?
Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.

You must be a member of a group to use this feature.

Add a quick update to your diary without changing the diary itself:
Are you sure you want to remove this diary?
(The diary will be removed from the site and returned to your drafts for further editing.)
(The diary will be removed.)
Are you sure you want to save these changes to the published diary?
