The Republican House members have increasingly declined to take their office seriously and, instead, taken to acting like the worst caricature of the 60's radical, constantly burning down buildings and threatening to take over the Dean's office. Nothing is getting done and worse, says Jonathan Chait in his New York Magazine article, "Anarchists Of The House" it's only going to get worse. *

Come join me over the fold and see what we have to look forward to.
It boggles the mind how the american people continue to reward the same obnoxious behavior they wouldn't stand for in their children.
Imagine, continually giving a spoiled, unctuous backstabber a cushy, health insured, pension protected government job time and again, only to have them spit in your eye when you ask them to work with their counterparts across the aisle. But, that's what the President and Democrat's have to do year in and year out, only to watch the ante be upped over and over and over again.
As Chait writes:
The hard right’s extremism has bent back upon itself, leaving an inscrutable void of paranoia and formless rage and twisting the Republican Party into a band of anarchists.
The Senate Republicans have finally wised up and put their gun down (filibuster) but not in the House, where:
Earlier this month, House Republicans issued those demands. They are staggeringly grandiose. If Obama wants to lift the debt ceiling for the rest of his term, they announced, all he has to do is … agree to sign on to Ryan’s plan to cut and privatize Medicare. If that’s too much for him, Republicans have generously offered the choice of letting Obama accept a package of deep cuts to Medicaid and food stamps in return for a shorter debt-ceiling extension. Of course, if he chooses that route, he’ll have to come back again later and offer up further concessions.
Perhaps the mainstream media will now finally begin asking why should the voters keep sending people back to D.C. who refuse to do their jobs? (I'm not holding my breath)
